No elevation despite different start and end altitude

Todays run had a small miracle.
How is that even possible?

while from pure maths, this seems to be a bit off, the reason lies in the way, altitude is registered in the watch.
You actually seem to have run on flat ground.
The watch registers ascent and descent with a certain threshold. If there was no threshold, every little noise in the sensor signal would lead to registering ascent or descent. If I remember correctly, the threshold is 3m initially. If you climb 3m continuously, then every single meter is counted. Unitl you descend 3m in a row. then every meter downhill is counted.
Now you can “trick” this algorithm, if you climb 2m, then descend 1m and so on. In this case you can end up with what you got.Cheers

@Egika thanks, yeah that threshold might be the reason. In fact that terrain is mostly flat with a small ascent in between. But it might be below that 3m.
