Crash and touch screen function not working - Vertical update to 2.39.44

Following the most recent software update to 2.39.44, my watch crashed and for a day was in “the device is being restored to a safe state” mode. After multiple soft and hard resets, I reconfigured it and now its back online. However the touch screen function does no longer work, I can use it but only with the buttons. Any advice?

@janosm You might try reverting back to prior firmware and install again. If the problem persists it may be hardware and not firmware related. I rarely see the “restoring to a safe state” message when updating firmware. There was an issue installing so I would try again.
