TrainingPeaks
-
I use TrainingPeaks to build workouts and then sync them to my watch.
Does anyone know why Suunto is pairing my TrainingPeaks planned workout to TrainingPeaks but also adding another, completed and exact same workout?
-
@Smyles to be honest, this seems something that is on the TrainingPeaks side, and does not have much to do with Suunto.
-
@Smyles I use TP. How often does this happen? Phone and OS?
-
@isazi it works fine with my old Garmin and my old Coros watch. It’s a Suunto issue, I’ve raised a support ticket.
-
@Brad_Olwin every workout. I’ve raised a support ticket.
-
I had the same issue. It should work if you use the structured trainings via Suunto App Store. Else your workouts have to be assigned manually
-
@VoiGAS so you don’t use TrainingPeaks anymore?
-
@Smyles This is odd, I use TP and have been using for a long time. I do not have this issue. I use an iPhone. Are you sure that the workout is not going to another account that uploads to Suunto?
What is your TP account linked to? -
@VoiGAS You do not have to have structured workouts! All workouts will sync!
-
@Brad_Olwin For me I also had to use the structured workouts, else It looked like the TOs screenshot.
Currently I am in an injury / pause phase, thats why I don’t use it in the moment. But with the structured trainings it worked perfectly in the summer -
Two quick questions, as I’m interested in Training Peaks:
- do workouts planned in training peaks sync with the watch, so that you can see what’s the activity for today/ tomorrow etc? (from what I read I think they do)
- Is anyone using the Training Peaks Virtual cycling app for an indoor trainer? If so, do the activities from this sync back to the watch/ Suunto app with all details - i.e. including the heart rate zones etc?
-
@wakarimasen Number 1: Yes, it is available at the watch and even suggested if you use the right sport mode (like a running workout for a running training)

- Yes, Weight training, running, cycling, etc are all synced using HR, Pace or RPE for workouts.
-
@Brad_Olwin Stryd is connected to Suunto and TrainingPeaks in the same way as before it was connected to Coros and TrainingPeaks. Suunto is connected to TrainingPeaks and Stryd.
-
@Smyles I think both Stryd and Suunto are sending workouts to TP. Nothing is wrong with syncing. You are getting the same workout synced by each service.
-
@Brad_Olwin yes, I checked after your last reply.
I figured out that if I uncheck “Export Activities To” in Stryds TrainingPeaks connection, the workout is not sent to TrainingPeaks a second time. BUT, it also doesn’t sync with Stryd; so that solution is not workable.
-
@Brad_Olwin yes but I’m unsure currently how to get it right. I have another issue in that I can’t record Stryd Air Power unless I use the Suunto Stryd app but I don’t seem to be able to use that app to execute planned workouts from TrainingPeaks.
It’s all quote fussy in comparison to what I’m used to.
