I am surprised how closely watchface is linked to a software upgrade of the watch itself. I would separate much more clearly what is hardware/software upgrade and what is watchface customisation.
After my downgrade, my watchface outdoor is back the way I like it, (without the look symbol)

@vinc14 at least for that Christmas tree there has been added a new highlight color. Watch faces making use of the functionality already there wouldn’t need a SW Update. But your right at least it seemed strange when you have decoupled watch faces and roll out an SW Update with it.
