Battery drain after FW Update Yesterday
-
Hey,
After the Firmware Software Update from Yesterday my Race s was drain more than 10% in 24hrs… Anyone same experience? Yesterday 100% 11 PM and now only 91% . Notofications Off, blood oxygen Off, sleep Tracking and heart rate on!

@GiPFELKiND Do a soft reset. In my vertical has been the other way around, 2% in one day configuring watchfaces and touching everything, no activities yet but looks promissing. Hope it lasts.

@GiPFELKiND My (regular) Race is dropping fast too after the update, approximately 15% after 24hrs, but have a look at the first question of this FAQ https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9960/more-faq?_=1734438665530
Just have to wait untill next charge to see if it can be recalibrated. After that give it a fair chance to see if there is an excessive drain.

@Arju-Ambin thanx a lot

@GiPFELKiND The watch lasted me 8 days after the update. It went down to 5% and I put it on the charger now. Just waiting for it to charge up to 100% and we’ll see how the next battery cycle will fare.
My watch has 24/7 ohr turned on and sleep monitoring. My sleep is trash which I already know and don’t really need my watch to remind me so I’m contemplating on turning off 24/7 ohr turned on and only making the watch use ohr during exercise. I’ll let it go one more cycle with ohr turned on 24/7 and see if I manage to get more than 8 days.

@Arju-Ambin Sounds absolutly normal. I have a similar lifetime on my watch. The same like before the update and like specified by Suunto

@VoiGAS thanks for confirming this to me. I’m quite new to Suunto.

After each update, it is preferable to restart the watch. If you do this, you will never have battery drain issues.

My Vertical was 3,5-4% a day, after this “famous uptate” around 5%. Now after last update seems back to 3,5-4%.
