@Egika Oh yeah right, sorry. WiFi is for maps. Anyhow, Iâve had no issues with downloading maps on the same WiFi before.
Yep, flight mode is off. And no power saving mode either. Discovery is on.
I canât add the WiFi in the settings at all. I find the network, enter the password which I make sure is correct, it tries to connect and after some spinning it tells me that it canât connect to the network and that a âreboot of the router might solve itâ. Of course Iâve tried that and that unfortunately doesnât work either.I really donât know how to solve thisâŠ
any change in your Wifi settings ? Password changed with some comas or specific caracters ? https://forum.suunto.com/topic/9157/wifi-with-password-comma?_=1734593834227
firewall ?
changed to 5GHz ?no expert myself, just enumerating few issues seen in this forum ?
Did you eventually try to connect to a phone wifi hotspot to check if it is working ?
-
The network name is L & J and Iâve also tried changing it to L J with no success. Password is regular letters and numbers so nothing fancy there.
Firewall is set to âlow â mode. Also using 2,4 GHz. The 5 GHz one doesnât even show when i scan for networks in SA.
Tried using my phone as a hotspot, same issue.

This Update seems to lead to HR Sensor Malfunctions again on the PP9. Read more here: https://forum.suunto.com/post/158962
Think HR might fail when Ox Sensor kicks in during the night.
Could not reproduce is while starting Ox measurement manually.
Didnât have this issue for quite a long time now.Anyway, update worked smooth here and I am happy with the new features.

@BrunoH Iâll add myself as another person who had the Control Panel display issue right after the update. It was fixed with two soft resets and hasnât reappeared. But I too use the bottom button as a Control Panel shortcut. Sounds like a pattern for this issue.
-
Excuse me, but WTF happened here?
-
Irony onâŠ
Iâm not a doctor, but you should see a cardiologist. Urgently! đ«Ł
Irony offâŠ
-
@pilleus why? Because of my 8-bit heart readings?
-
I have the same issue, I also cant see the weather after a softreset, it says I need to synk with app, which I have done several times now.
The training I did yesterday is also gone, but we will see if manages to record the sessions I will do today.
-
It seems that the watch regained its memory with this update and correctly recalls if the navigation was off during the last time activity was used. Cool!
-
Some more funky behaviour:
Verticalâs media controls stopped responding. I could see the name of the song and the artist, but all the control buttons were disabled. Soft reset fixed that problem, but then the control panel shrunk again to the bottom of the screen.
-
Iâve reverted to 2.37.48.
Confirmed my thoughts about the new UI - I prefer the old version. The new setup didnât scroll smoothly and also shrunk the text of non-selected options for no good reason, making them harder to see.
Iâd also rather have functioning OHR/sleep tracking than a Christmas tree watch face.
I do wonder how Suunto can release a update such as this with fundamental faults that disable a primary function of the watch⊠Is there no Beta testing?
Also no updates on here on likely timing for a fix. -
@MiniForklift I recommend you to do a soft reset.
My SVTi has really reduced its consumption to a ridiculous levels (everything off), something like 2% per day without activities. Yesterday I got 1% for one hour GPS and today 2% for one hour with 32 manual laps and 10 auto laps. It is the best battery consumption that I ever have had with the watch and I hope this behaviour lasts for ever.Regarding GPS tracks Iâm having the best tracks ever, I usually have excellent tracks but in the last two running activities the tracks have been even better than before, better on turns and on very challenging narrow streets.

Damn it. Another 9PP affected more. Today playing paddle tennis this afternoon and in the middle of activity HR has stopped. This has never happened to me before.

Instructions in this post - helpfully linked by @Mff73 further up this thread:

@far-blue said in Software update 2.39.20 (2024 Q4):
@Sturgis Green has just been added to the bottom of the colour selection list for the accent colour. You can use it with any watch face but itâs the default for the new xmas and new year faces
Ahhh okay, itâs about the additional green accent colour. I didnât recognized that.
Thank you very much for the info and your help! -
Same OHR issue with my 9PP
Also, I donât understand the auto calibration on compass, seems nothing auto but same as old Suunto watch (8 movements) ⊠-
@BrunoH I also have the bottom button as a shortcut to the control panel and I had the same issue as you. Even multiple soft resets didnât resolve the issue. But this fixed it for me:
- Add the control panel as a widget
- Open the control panel via the widget (control panel was displayed correctly)
Since I have opened the control panel via the widget, it is always rendered correctly, even if I open it via the shortcut. Maybe itâs just a coincidence⊠but also worth a try.

I agree with you, christmast watchfaces are somethingâŠstupid. If I need fancy useless thing, then I chose another brand. For me Suunto is simply and reliable. But this update should be released as April 1st update.
Have vertical ti solar, seems lucky one, no issue for me observed. -
@Jiri-Kroutil it just the chinese bling bling - cheap an for nothing
