Software update 2.39.20 (2024 Q4)

@Mff73 Thank you! So if I understood the other posts right there is no timeframe to expect a fix
-
@VoiGAS seems so, thats the Suunto reality
-
Hi, I found a bug. If someone hasnât already mentioned it.
If I have the buttons locked during activity, the auto pause is not displayed. -
Hello everyone,
I had already seen a post but unfortunately did not find it again. In the Suunto app I have a red dot that stands for a new update. But I donât see a new one. Does anyone else have this or is there even someone with a new update? -

@Mff73 Super thank you. Unfortunately, there was no explanation for this. Probably just a bug
-
@Kaiphi Hi, did you do a software rollback for known bugs lately?
In my case I did it and the current one with the errors continues to appearâŚ
Sometimes I see red dots!!! -
@Elmiuel Thank you, that calms me down
Didnât downgrade my vertical -
@Kaiphi I had a possible explanation elsewhere: there was a new update for Suunto 9 Peak Pro which was in fact a rollback to the previous version to fix the bugs. It canât be installed on a Vertical/Race though, because they werenât impacted by the bugs so much. So, probably the app sees that update, marks is with the red dot, but doesnât allow to install it.
-
Any rumours about update with battery drain and OHR fixes? Continous watch restart becomes tiringâŚ
-
@orzechszek itâs being tested. Should be released sooner than later.
-
@Kaiphi also when Suunto delivers news in there own behalf the red light is on. Itâs not a bug.
-
@Sportsfreund Thatâs in a different place. The red dot is right next to the firmware version (see my picture a few posts above). The dot for the news is usually green and itâs on the home screen.

That makes sense

I found two interesting âbugsâ on my watch:
-
If you activate a timer, your analog dial changes to reflect the countdown from the timer, that is a nice feater, but after some time that disappears, it seems a bit weird, either it shows or it dosent?
-
If you like me do not show âcontrol panelâ as a widget (not fixed) the watch will after some time make your âfixed widgetâ to show the control panel, even thou I have said it to be âpulseâ or something elseâŚ
Iâm using the watch face called âoutdoorâ on my Suunto 9 Peak Pro
-
-
@kriskus the Green dot is a sight that your watch is connected and synchronized.

I Just received an official Suunto Email (and now also visible as notification in SA)
Possible issues with the latest watch software
Our latest software update (version 2.39.20) for Suunto Race, Suunto Race S, and Suunto Vertical watches has unfortunately introduced an issue for some users, causing the optical heart rate sensor to stop working.
How to check if your watch is affected:
- Take off your watch.
- Open the Heart rate widget.
- Turn your watch around.
- Place your finger or hand over the center sensors (five rectangles).
- Do you see a green LED light blinking?Yes? Great! Your optical heart rate is working as expectedâno further action is needed.
No? Your watch may be affected, which could also impact sleep tracking. Follow these steps to restore functionality.
How to fix the issue:
- Press and hold the top button for 12 seconds to reboot the device.
- Sync your watch again with the Suunto app.
- This should restore your optical heart rate sensor.Still not working?
If the issue persists, visit our support page for additional troubleshooting steps. While we strive to enhance your watch with software updates, this update has unfortunately introduced an issue. Weâre actively working on a fix, and a new update will be released as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and support â we appreciate you being part of the Suunto community!

@Tieutieu wow. A month after the issue was introduced. What a timing.
