Software update 2.39.20 (2024 Q4)
-
Downgraded to previous FW and now sleep tracking works again. Definitely a bug in the new FW. Suunto Race here.
-
@jsuarez an update is coming
-
Any interaction with the watch will trigger the good morning screen and update the sleep data. Usually what’s enough is pressing the middle button. Sometimes it pops out instantly, sometimes after a few moments.

@pavel-samokha And what about the Suunto 9 Peak (non-Pro version)? Has support for this model been completely discontinued? The last update for the 9 Peak was released several years ago!
I would really appreciate it if “older” models continued to receive support and updates.
Suunto watches are very expensive, so ongoing support should actually go without saying.Wishing you a great day!

@isazi thx for the info.

it’s not supported together with the 9Baro as we have all here observed.

@thanasis So far, so clear — I (unfortunately) also saw that the S9P is not included in the update. But will there be an update for the S9P in the near future, or has support been completely discontinued? (Which would be a reason for me to avoid purchasing Suunto products in the future if support doesn’t even last five years. If I am correctly informed, the S9P was released in 2021.)
-
@Knigge S9P is being supported, as well as much older devices. It’s no longer being developed and upgraded, as it’s using different hardware and software platform than newer devices (starting from S9PP).
-
@isazi great news, Isazi. Thank you for letting us know.
-
@Knigge There will not be updates for the 9P but it will continue to work with the Suunto App and at least the majority but not all SuuntoPlus apps. The hardware is not capable of running the current OS on the 9PP. Even though they look virtually the same the internal hardware of the 9P and 9PP are radically different.

@Łukasz-Szmigiel & @Brad_Olwin Hm, quite a shame from my perspective. Just because the watch has different hardware and software doesn’t really seem like a reason to stop releasing updates. Back then, I specifically opted for the more expensive version with O2 measurement, barometer, and other features, hoping that cool new features utilizing these sensors would be developed. And at 4 years old, the watch isn’t actually that old—at least not so old that support (meaning no development or updates) should be discontinued. Very disappointing and leaves me feeling let down by Suunto :(!

@Knigge yeahhh man totally feel with you. There are much Things… Suunto deleted the contour lines in the Maps 1 year before… In the higher zoom Levels… Until today they didnt give new Maps or solution for this… Feels little Bit like you buy a good stuff and then they “downgrade” your product another example: many users DOWNGRADE the Firmware at the moment cause the OHR measurement and some sleep Things didnt work… The support Here says suunto is working for a fix with every new Firmware there come more and more things to fear

@Knigge hey man See this? If you say true things Here you got a negative like its Here everytime the same
