Nice !

TL;DR pretty, interesting headphones, but I want working HR sync from a chest strap and swimming drill tracking more, if we’re going to make a splash (haha) about swimming. Who knows, though? Maybe we’ll get that in the next update, too.
These are cute, nice colour scheme, too. I think the question swimmers who regularly work on their technique will have…
does this let me track my drills?
Sorely missing from the current watches.
- I notice that the mock-up of a swim in the app shows it was recorded with a Race and the Aqua, looking forward to seeing how that works:
will the watch connect to the headphones pre-swim, like a HRM?https://www.suunto.com/en-us/Support/Product-support/suunto_aqua/suunto_aqua/workout-tracking/swimming/
Uhm…
NOTE:
If the connection between the headphones and the watch is lost during the exercise, or you turn workout tracking with the headphones off before ending the exercise on the watch, the exercise records of the headphones and the watch will appear as separate exercises in Suunto app. There must be a timeout, right? Because I know that at the bottom of my stroke, my watch will lose Bluetooth connectivity to the headphones. This seems like a pretty rough failure mode, to say the least.
In addition to analyzing your swimming technique, Suunto Aqua can monitor mobility as well as neck and muscle fatigue
Next to a photo of someone on a bike,
so is this in swimming and cycling…?Yep it is. I question the utility of that, I know when my neck is tired!Jump assessment! Watch out, Polar… https://www.suunto.com/en-us/Support/Product-support/suunto_aqua/suunto_aqua/motion-detection-and-analysis/jump-assessment/
These feel worryingly like the equivalent of the really weird Nokia phones that no-one asked for.

Would be interesting if you can control the music via watch. I didn’t see it mentioned…
-
@VoiGAS offline music in Suunto Aqua cannot be controlled from the watch. But you can define playlists in SA and then select them in Aqua.
-
Found no review of it. Anyone here with more luck?
The most interesting part for me are the additional metrics. Swimming and Cycling are mentioned, but nor Running. Still I hope it could deliver something like Garmins Running Dynamics… -
@VoiGAS no running measurements from these. As the name says, it’s major element is water.
I guess Suunto has something else in the pipeline with some running dynamics -
@Egika It also says neck tirement measurement for biking - so it could be a triathlon device if they find something for running.
But I will also wait and hope for some Suunto Running Dynamics
