Suunto ZoneSense
-
@Sportsfreund If I run steadily and slowly in a aerobic zone and then change to walking, stop suddenly or even just fiddle with my phone, I can feel my HR rising and my heart beating more intense for some time after. Perhaps Zonesense „senses“ this changes in HRV and how your body tries to find homeostasis and therefore the change?
-
@thanasis do you have “running” a Second suunto+ App while running? Tey to deactivate the Second one and the Zonesense data should be visible correct
-
@VoiGAS my belt is very new. Bought it last week.

@Brad_Olwin can you help me with why this happens ?
)While the app seems to be running it also shows waiting for data
Also the there is a big difference in the data in the watch ( eg I had some 5-6min the red zone ) while in the app the duration is 0
The watch is not receiving data.
The belt must record electric changes NOT OHR.
The belt must provide good R-R data
Delete and reinstall the Suunto Plus ZS app from phone and watch
At the beginning of your exercise 10 min of aerobic warm up is required before live ZS is displayed. -
@Sportsfreund what belt?
-
@VoiGAS said in Suunto ZoneSense:
@Sportsfreund Yes, I have the same behaviour. After washing the belt the quality of the data looks much better, but still the live data just stays green. I ordered a new belt - maybe this helps.
I would also love to hear some long term real life experience with using Zonesense during the runI have been using and testing ZS since last May/June. Is that long term enough?
-
@Brad_Olwin Suunto Belt sowie Polar H10 belt. Both same. I can’t belief that you get real live values when all other users don’t get it.

Absolutly. How reliable are your live values on the watch? Can you use it to pace an ultra from the start or does it need more time to “swing in”? Not to mention the first 10 Minutes, its clear that it shows nothing
-
@Brad_Olwin @GiPFELKiND It seems that the issue is not occurring by removing fat burner app . Just FYI in case someone else finds themselves in the same situation
The watch does record the data btw -
@thanasis Interesting, I had one SuuntoGuide running parallel. Will try without it.
Post workout data looked ok, so I think its not the belts fault -
@VoiGAS after training you are right. But not while training it is real.
-
@VoiGAS I use ZoneSense with a Guide same time. No issues…
-
@2b2bff In your case the graph shows all the time realistic values?
Really? -
@Sportsfreund TBH I don’t look too much on the time spent in different zones on the watch, rather in what zone I am currently.
Today I tried to stay in the green zone and had occational yellow on the watch. Looks similar in the App: 86% green, 14% yellow.
I never had a “waiting for data”. But I only started using ZoneSense a week ago, as I didn’t have a chest strap before…
