Race S -v- Baro

Re: Suunto Race S general discussion
Just did a comparison with my Baro on a tough trail.
Race S was in all systems mode, Baro in Endurance mode (hasn’t been charged for awhile).
Distance. SRS 11.21km Baro 10.63km
Steps. SRS 12,366 Baro 12,682
Ascent/Descent. SRS 331/347 Baro 339/357
Calories. SRS 1166 Baro 1083
Recovery. SRS 31hrs Baro 33hrs
Vo2Max. SRS 49 Baro 47
(I’m 60 years old)
Both watches were synced to a Verity Sense strap. All in all they’re pretty close considering the Baro is quite old now. Shows how good it really was I think. It’s served me well. I noticed there were 3 S9’s in the top 10 at UTMB (I think). It’s a warhorse. Simple, reliable and bulletproof.
The Vo2Max is more reasonable from the Baro though I feel. I’m yet to do the Cooper Test so we’ll see I guess.
The Race S offers superior legibility though. It was bright and responsive. And it’s very comfortable on the wrist.

@Jeffrey-Tillack Nice comparison. Thanks. The SRS is a beast of a watch
