Hey all! I want to share some news regarding development.
You might have noticed that the S+ app was recently updated. We’ve introduced bi-directional communication, which unlocks two major features: geoposition-based laps and sending messages directly to the watch.
Here are the details:
-
Geo Laps: You can now place a checkpoint and set a “LAP” action for it. When you reach that endpoint, a lap will automatically trigger on your watch.
-
Messages: Your watch can now receive messages! There are currently two use cases:
-
From a Checkpoint: You can send a message via a checkpoint—just check if the watch icon is active, and the message will be sent to your wrist.
-
Message from Live view: People watching your activity live can send messages right from the browser. For now, this is a hidden feature. they need to manually add
?messenger=trueto the end of the URL. so it would lok likebeta.athletica.one/live/@username?messenger=true
-
All these features should work on the current Live.τ app, but for the best experience, I recommend joining the TestFlight tester group.
Here’s a video example of how messages work: https://drive.proton.me/urls/PWRAQW3VE0#jI2tOqIIdfr8
I’ve also prepared an app update. It’s currently in review, but I hope it will be publicly available next week. One of the major improvements is better session restoration logic.
In situations where the watch or phone disconnects, the next version will check for any unfinished activities. You’ll be asked if you want to continue the session or start a new one. If the disconnect happens in the background, we will automatically resume the session for you.
More info coming in the next post when it hits the stores!
P.S. We are also working on live streaming capabilities! This will allow you to stream your location to YouTube, Instagram, or Twitch whatever via RTMP. Let me know in the comments if this sounds interesting to you.
Very good job !

Is it possible to enter more than one contact to follow the activity?
-
@Nikolai-Simonov Thank you for this update!
I believe the messenger functionality is potentially rather useful.I tried testing it, but I could not get it to work - in my tests the web UI says that the message is sent successfully, however nothing shows up on my watch.
Watch: Race 2 with FW v2.50.26
SuuntoPlus app v: Live.τ 1.6 R3
iOS app v: 1.0.13 (70) Beta
iOS v: 18.7.2 -
@Lazar-Dimitrov thanx for report!
i’ve rechecked, yep there’s an issue on iOS, will fix it next update -
@graciti, you can share the link with an unlimited number of people.
If you’re referring to email recipients, yes, it’s currently limited to one person, but that will be expanded later.
Also there’s option to follow via telegram if anyone use it.

@Nikolai-Simonov how can I get rid of this popup?

-
@Egika Could you describe which scenario this popup appear?

I have started and ended an activtity.
Then I have started a new activity. When I open beta.athletica.one/live/@username?messenger=true in the browser, the above notification pops up and cannot dismissed (at least I don’t find a way to do so). -

Ok, i see,

got it. Now it should works fine. please let me know if it fixed.Thanx for pointing it out!
-
@Lazar-Dimitrov upd: should be fine in the latest Testflight update (72)
please let me know if it works or not.
-
@Nikolai-Simonov Both works now!
Sending message to iOS with Testflight version is working well plus the finished activity notification is gone.
When the watch is in a different screen than the S+ live tracking, there is a vibration, when a message comes in. It is rendered once I enter the S+ screen.
Have not tested yet, what happens if I send multiple messages before looking at the first one…And sending SMS to a German number is also working.
This became an awesome tool!
-
German mobile number works now… in the regular app, not only in test flight

thanks a lot! -
@Egika Awesome great to hear it!
So, enjoy using it!
