the watch faces are definnitely not being transferred to the watch
the indicator says 0/9 , pulling the update shows that it updates but no watches are being synched back to the watch

@thanasis Try maybe to reopen the app. It didn’t work for me and even showed uncompatible watchfaces or something… Once I closed and reopened the app the sync went well.
-
@Zdeněk-Hruška did close and open the app 3 times .
it seems other are having something similar. I am on iOS btw -
It “works” for me, but it takes a bit of trying and patience. It will definitely need more tweaking and optimization. Mainly for the mainstream public who might be a little confused about where their watchfaces are. I was a bit confused that my watch just deleted the current watchface to some factory one after updating.
-
@Zdeněk-Hruška Nice, you’re absolutely right! Re-opening the app did the trick!
-
@thanasis Worked fine for me on Android.

Ditto. (iOS) Very slow to start that sync & loooong SuuntoApps phase but job done.

@Zdeněk-Hruška
Thanks, now it’s working! -
workaround
re instate the connection with the watch (forget and connect again), did the trick
I now have them transferred

everything works perfectly here ! (I’m on latest iOS and on 2.37.6 beta app).

Whole thing went smooth with my 9PP and iOS SA. Great step forward regarding watch faces in our devices!
If I had to mention something, I would say that now the 9PP only allows for 4 watchfaces onboard at the same time (hardware/memory limitations most probably). Since before the update I could store onboard many more, this means that new watchfaces have become much beefier.
Anyway, I can definitely live with this. I see this as a fantastic improvement to my watch!!! -
Here that helped too

After the update the watch faces didn’t sync to my watch. Restarting the app did the trick (iOS). To be honest, watch faces are not that important to me. But I like it, that now I can only have my 2 favorite watch faces installed. It’s less scrolling on the watch if I want to change the active watch face. I am looking forward to test the climb guidance changes.
Joaquin mentioned on Facebook “HOLY GRAIL… More information in a few weeks”. That sounds interesting

I just tried ‘Chalkboard’ watch face and it does not show sunset icon. Other two complications (sleep and training time) are showing icons before data.
And what is the difference in climb guidance? Does anyone have more info?

I wrote a message yesterday in this forum to prepare the users for this eventuality

@fv4500 not sure if the watch faces are larger, it is just that they are stored somewhere else and not part of the firmware image. And S9PP does not have much storage.

Yup, I don’t want the activity storage bloated with watchfaces
