      Hi all!

I have had the Suunto Ocean for almost a month and I have been monitoring the use on land for now. I had some issues with the sleep tracking that I could solve or were solved after I increased the basal heart rate a bit up to 62.

However, I have been observing that the step count is not accurate at all as the distances and duration of the walks do not match the step count. An hour walk and like 3k steps only? I know that the step counter on the mobile may be a bit exaggerated, but normally there is a huge difference of several thousands of steps.

Has anyone encountered this problem at all for the Ocean undercounting the daily steps? Any thoughts or solutions about this based on your experience, guys?

      Thanks a lot in advance.
      Cheers!

@Datego I notice mine overcounting steps, like the older Suunto firmware used to: someone described it as being optimised for a quadruped, and they needed it optimised for a biped…

I’m curious, which firmware are you on?

@Datego I actually experienced the opposite. My Suunto Ocean has overrepresenting the steps. I have a Galaxy Watch 4 with me and when I wear them both on the same arm the difference between the two is massive. Suunto is counting thousands more steps and by the distance walked it is definitely incorrect
