Suunte Race S fails to download initial update

Hello,
I just bought my Suunto Race S in July and I loved it. Unfortunately the wheel broke so I got the watch replaced by Suunto in only 2 days!
I am now connecting the replacement watch and it fails to download the initial update to actually use the watch. It connects with the app but keeps saying “waiting for update”.
I contacted the support but they are puzzling. Soft reset (upper button 12 sec) did not help, bottom button and reinstalling the current update also won’t work. The watch stucks on the screen… Reinstalling the App, using another mobile, nothing helped…
any ideas?!

@tensing iOS or Android? I think there is a small issue with the backend providing firmware updates, it should be resolved soon (I managed to update 4 watches yesterday, I am having some issues today)
