Beginner questions
-
Hi after years on the Ambit. Today I got my new Suunto Race S.
I have some beginner questions. I hope that’s ok!
I notice auto-time is 2 hours off. Wrong time-zone I’m guessing? I’m reading that it should get the time and time-zone from my phone. The time and time-zone on my phone are correct though. I’d rather have it on auto and be correct than manually setting it. How?
It is normal that when I click on the watch icon in the app it will keep stating “syncing” even though it has already synced? It just keeps syncing forever in circles. I’m syncing ‘Settings’ now for the fifth time. Is there ever a “sync finished” ?
I just did my first exercise and am now back home. When I left the watch was connected to my phone just fine. And now it won’t connect anymore. Airplane mode is off. Discovery is on. Power saving mode is off. On my android phone the app has all background permissions. Nothing has changed except I have been outside for 30 minutes for an exercise. What can be the problem I’m not seeing?

@Buntmans These all sound like phone connection issues. I have iOS so only limited help here. To get weather make sure that you have always on connection to the watch with precise location. The watch will update time by syncing with the phone. To get sunrise/sunset information you must get a GPS fix with the watch.

@Brad_Olwin You were correct. What I was missing was a GPS fix as I was indoors. Beginner mistake I guess! Thanks for your help.
