Suunto Vertical - Notifications are cut off

I just got my first Suunto watch, a Vertical, and I’m testing it out and trying to become familiar with all the features, and what is different coming from a mid-range garmin.
One thing that caught me eye is the notifications. I’m on software version 2.35.34, and I’m noticing that it is only possible to view the notification preview for long notifications? If a text or notification is small, I can read it all, but from looking at the documentation, shouldn’t I be able to press the bottom bottom to scroll through into longer messages? I can’t seem to do that, it just moves to the next notification.
Is there a software change that I’m not aware of that has been implemented for that?

@aus95 The entire text of long notifications is not shown, This is by design as far as I know.
