Loop Pace - behaviour changed
-
It used to be that if you set manual lap at any point, the following laps would start from there. It was nice for example in a 1500 m race that you had a lap at 300 m so the rest of the race would have nice 400 m laps. Not so anymore though, was this change intentional?

@jussim I’m not sure what you mean by setting manual lap at any point, do you mean pressing lap button in some other view than Loop pace app view? That has been changed, now you need to press lap button in Loop pace view to control the Loop app (to set start point of the loop). But that was changed already last year, I think. Which watch are you using, and when did the behaviour change?

@Raimo-Järvi Thanks, exactly right, words seem to have escape me in expressing “press the lap buton” That might just be it, I rarely use the actual Loop app view. Thanks!
9 Baro is my watch.

@jussim This was changed to fix using two SuuntoPlus sports apps, or a sports app and a guide, at the same time. Because otherwise button presses would affect both apps. For S9B this is not relevant because it only supports one app or guide, but behaviour is now same in all watches.

I meant to ask also that the screen with the lap stats doesn’t show up anymore (only buzz is heard on each lap but the screen stays the same). Is this behaviour affected by apps?
-
@jussim A little late… But I think lap popup was removed on purpose, from Loop apps and some other SuuntoPlus apps. In most cases people find the lap popup annoying, I guess that’s why it was removed.
Also, I don’t work for Suunto anymore, so unfortunately I don’t have any powers to change this.
