No Map in all other battery modes than Performance?! Why?

Didnt we have a custom battery mode in race s?!
To Set another GPS and ACTIVATE the map!!! Please! I want change the GPS but in all other battery modes than Performance the map is OFF! sorry thats very bad! You will get about performance mode for battery life so it makes no sense to have the map on,

I mean if I select the Endurance profile I can’t enable the map, but when I create a Custom mode with the GPS setting ‘Good’ I can. Both modes have equal battery estimates.You’re saying that the watch switches to Performance mode if you enable and use the map? If so, then I would expect to see the battery estimate for the Performance mode once I enable the map

Use of the map will affect battery life. Pretty much if you are on the map page you won’t get the battery life. On the RaceS endurance has single band GPS. Map screen and constant repositioning of the map will not give you Endurance battery life. Unless you are going longer than 30h there is no point using Endurance or Ultra in my opinion. Few folks that ask about this actually use the watch for over 30h in one exercise.

Unless you want to prolong the battery life when unable to charge, for example. Or don’t want to charge as often.

when unable to charge I get it, just because you don’t want to put the watch on the charger for an hour once a week seems ridiculous, it just downgrades the performance of the watch.

If it’s a configurable option then everyone can decide for themselves how they want to use the watch.

Yeah this seems like a strange oversight, given other watches allow customisation.
On ultra marathons I may want to use the map, but also eek a little more battery life and don’t need the dual band of performance mode.
