Data tooth and navigation

Just wondered if it was possible to disable/toggle off the data tooth window on the map screen when navigating? I don’t tend to use turn-by-turn nav, and have no need to see the remaining distance to the end of the route. I’d just rather have an option to have the map screen as clear as possible.
Secondly, how is the route following and map response/latency since the most recent update. any difference; both positive or negative to the previous fimware?

I’m also interested. I’d like to see the information field on map to be :
- smaller
- customizable (for me altitude would be a more interesting field than remaining distance)
