Climb Guidance - General

What’s the purpose of having the activity time nice and large or at all on the climb guidance zoomed in view?
I would rather have the distance font larger and make the elevation profile taller (to better distinguish changes).

After lot of use of climb guidance in various situations (trail running, hiking, cycling) and in very various terrains, here are my thoughts :
It works very well, but I have the impression that sections are « distance » sections.
Let me explain :- I for example if I plan a route, which makes 15km in SA, with for instance on Climb of 5km, 5km flat and 5km descente, climb guidance set 3 sections
- but when navigating, for many reasons the mesured distance of the watch can be different from SA original route. In mountains for instance the climb section of my example could easily be 5,4km mesured by the watch.
- but as sections seem to be « distance » based, that leads to gaps between real track, and route used for guidance. In my example the flat section would begin before the end of climb section.
When there are a lot of sections on the route followed, those gaps are even more perceptible.
Do you experiment the same ?
I’d thought that guidance would had been perfect if it was considering every end of section as a « waypoint », so in this way next section would only start when end of the previous one would had been reached. .

@Tieutieu if it was based on distance, like guides are, it could not start mid section, could not reverse, could not do many things it does. The misalignment between reality and guidance is just because elevation model and maps are not 100% accurate.

@isazi ok thanks for your feedback. So I guess it’s more accurate then when there are « few » sections » with big elevations than on routes with lot of sections and few elevation.
(By the way I realize that the exemple I’ve taken was not good => in mountains I experimented that it was working pretty well)
