Hi, I can’t find any info which confirms how many Bluetooth connections the Ocean can pair too at anyone time. I know the Race has one, does the Ocean have more? Cheers.

@StuieD what exactly do you mean? The Ocean can connect to one Suunto App at any time, and one sensor of each supported kind.

@isazi I meant in terms of connections to devices, are you able to have multiple connections, for instance connected to a smart indoor training and heart rate strap? From your sentence it looks like you can pair to multiple devices.

@StuieD cannot control indoor bikes, but can pair to one as cycling or power sensor (depending on what the bike is offering) to receive some data. As I already wrote you can pair to multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time, but only one of each kind.

@isazi thanks for your feedback, my main query was around my Wahoo KICKR shift which uses Bluetooth smart to send, power, speed and cadence in one connection. I wanted to make sure this was possible.

@isazi after receiving my Ocean on Friday, my fears are realised, the watch cannot connect to my Wahoo KICKR shift, I get power, no cadence and no speed. After using Garmin and Apple for years I am very surprised how poor Suuntos Bluetooth connectivity is. On the plus side I am enjoying the watch, minus the lack of Bluetooth connectivity. Rungap to the rescue transferring indoor bike activities.

@StuieD You should be able to connect Power to PowerPod on the watch and Speed/Cadence to BikePod. Give that a try. I do not have a trainer so my help is limited here.

@Brad_Olwin unfortunately, yes I can pair the power, but the bike pod won’t find anything, it just keeps timing out and failing to connect. I thought I would be fine, but alas not. Unless someone on this forum uses a Wahoo KICKR BIKE with cadence and speed as well as power. What is the most frustrating is the bike actually transmits all 3 in one connection, so it should be easily doable. As a first time Suunto user quite surprised how it handles Bluetooth. Running for the last few days as been superb. 👍🏼

@Brad_Olwin thanks for the advice, I have been trying to do that, the power pod is all good, but the bike pod does not want to pair. Might see if anyone in the wider community knows, I suspect the race and race s will be the same. I think at this stage it doesn’t like the Wahoo KICKR bike

@Brad_Olwin unfortunately I have tried this, power pod connection is great, bike pod with not find anything. It’s a shame because the KICKR bike has a smart Bluetooth connection send speed, cadence and power in one. I does seem very limited in its Bluetooth set up, I have never used a sports watch in years where you didn’t see the various connections available, I thought this was standard. On the whole have enjoyed my first weekend with the watch, running was great, but Suunto sure has some gaps and oddities. However, the design is not one!
