@Egika Hello, beaufort.pdf I follow this on Windy. I bought the comparison scale. I look from there.

@thailon you can configure the display behavior specifically for each sport mode.
Before the display during activity was following the general settings. Now you can set “raise to wake” and “always on” and the brightness for every sport individually.Where is the option on the vertical? I can’t find it.
Thank you

@Luis-Andés-Olmedo
This is an option only in RACE because of the screen -
@safari I follow this on Windy. I bought the comparison scale. I look from there.
per hour, not per second!

First big test of climb guidance today (10h45 trail running race).
Works great.
But : my SV was at 98% charge. It ended at 75. Seems very high compare to previous fw. Maybe I need battery to achieve a cycle for new calibration ?I also noticed the more battery consumption right after the update.
-
According the DC Rainmaker review of the Race S the turn by turn alerts do not take over the whole screen now, but it still does on the Race, is that exclusive to the Race S?
-
Got it confirmed today that my Vertical step counter is way off. I was outside with my daughter playing and was active. Did check my watch and it said 1911 steps. Didn’t think about it and keept playing outside with her.
After 5 min I got a notification and did altso check the steps again, and is was still on 1911.
Did even film it when I walked and the watch did not count anything as steps -
@Iggge I’m seeing similar behavior. Thinking a bit of an over correction for the step sensitivity.
Walking around the house this morning getting ready for my run and only have 41 steps…no chance
-
@Marton-Attila my S9PP seems improved about battery life in daily use but not the same while training. I guess we have to wait for some charging cycles to be sure.
-
First use today with climb notifications and map with count down to the next waypoint.
I think it works really well, and love the fact now when it auto pauses I can see the map.
One possible bug, I had auto laps on and the map pages didn’t show the notifications constantly.
Also climb notifications do you need to be on the profile page? I didn’t receive any notifications on the upcoming climbs on the map page.
An excellent update for my personal use scenario. Thank you Suunto.
I have even got used to the fixed complications (strange verb ️) and love the shortcuts to the apps allowing me to really streamline the apps I need.
-
@stromdiddily Good to know I am not the only one. I just did a 20-30 min walk. I got 100 steps
-
Also seeing some significant battery drain post update.
Rec’d a 10% notification as soon as I started my run then ended after an hour at 4%. 6% an hour is not a normal rate.
Training Peaks suunto guide, no autolaps, no notifications, no navigation
-
@stromdiddily for me 18% after a trail of 10h43
-
@The_77 Yeah, since they finally implemented data field on map module they should get rid with any kind of full screen notifications at least when map screen is active. This applies also to annoying “out of track” and “back on track” messages as they cannot be disabled.

Had very scary TSS and other values today… Was swimming in the sea actually and suddenly after this Look… 🥴🥴🥴 Someone Something like this!? Whats going in? TSS Yesterday about 700, ATL 104, CTL 102, TSB about -55. But look on the watch graph today
Was that open water swimming?
Does the data looks correct?Once I had something similar when the GPS signal in Open Water went crazy and I got the pace something like 40-50s / 100m (or even faster). And it was seen on the map that the signal flew away somewhere to the beach. So TSS was very high for that training.

I found today one bug related to pool swimming.
So, on the watch we have this timer:
The thing is that before, if you end some interval, you had red triangle sign, which shown the moment when you stopped. I don’t have photo of it, but it looked like this:
Now the watch doesn’t show this red triangle sign anymore
I had training session today around 6km with almost 50 intervals and never seen it + tested after the training session (with basic and custom swimming modes) - same -
I’m seeing increased battery consumption as well on my SV (haven’t charged yet). Installed the update with ~60% and I’m already down to 6% after four days (slightly more GNSS time and playing with the watch than usual). I’ve been seeing about 3% loss overnight with sleep tracking, usually it’s only about 1%. My last two hour run dropped 6% (navigation and climb guidance, but no SuuntoPlus). I’m dropping the charge lower than normal to give it a full cycle.
On a positive note, vibrations are still present at low battery percentages! Alarms, notifications, and activity alerts are all coming through sub 10%.
Waiting to see if they are present below 5%.Update: No vibrations under 5%.

After two days of long trail running races, I’ve been testing climb guidance deeper.
Here are my thoughts :- it works awesomely well
- for climbs and downhills, it’s perfect !
- for flats or up/down, I find the graphic less useful. Perhaps because that’s where speed is high and it is less easy to look at indications.
- also sometimes there is too much small sections (in length), but I guess the algorithm that prepare sections in the app will improve.
Very nice addition that was so much requested !
-
@Tieutieu Totally agree.
