Yeahhh !
Updating right now !!
Watch updated without any trouble, let’s test all the new stuff now !
I’ll update my feed back here :- update changed the watchface i was using. Not big Beal
- complication…ok but no possibility to tap to change display. For instance I was using the « sr » watch face on my Sv. I was able to see ctl/hrv…in the bottom and changing by taping. Not possible anymore. For me that’s a regression. But I’ll get use to that.
- for me UI speed seems not faster but the same than before
- sync with SA (lastest beta) is slower
- no change on my solar charging issue : it remains in sleep mode for now
- map fluidity : trying to follow a road right now. I have some freezing every 100meters ? When rotating the watch there is lag on map rotation. Then it comes back ok and very fluid, then it freezes again…
- nice « auto-recenter map » option after x sec in navigation options
- strange new WF color choose option. Not very convenient, it was more easy before. But I guess It helped to optimized code.
-
Very important after any major release in production: report all bugs (there will necessary be some) with all possible info, send logs immediately after the event, and contact me or some of the other testers in the forum.
This way we can rapidly report bugs and, if serious enough, have them fixed with a hotfix release. Or just fixed in next production release.

As someone who is in the category of sub-40 HR fairly often when asleep, what does this update actually entail for that? Was it not registering low numbers properly before?
-
@The_77 better detection on sub 40
-
Waiting for the the ‘software update’ text to not be greyed-out…
-
From Joaquin in spanish

This would also be of interest to me, given that I’m under 40 while sleeping and Race seemed to measure it correctly (checking against the Apple Watch Ultra on the other hand)

Less of a bug, more of a note, there are some pixel artifacts in the ring now for the new ring options, like battery, sunrise/sunset and so on, but I imagine this is a resolution issue and probably can’t be resolved for the 9PP. Also present on the old sunrise/set ring default watch face now I’ve checked.
Unrelated feedback on this new watch face - be nice if the hours/minutes were moved to the centre when the seconds disappear after a minute or so. Just not as pleasing when the time is left shifted.
-
With S9PP I noticed that during activity you can hold the central button to navigate to the left screen instead of the classic always-right navigation
Unfortunately the bug with breadcrumb navigation always on by default hasn’t gone -
This is so nice, updated and love the improvements ! Thanks for the gift Suunto (and the unexpected gps battery improvement is awesome
Now I have to go for a second run today to test this -
@Francesco-Pagano what bug ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos when starting an activity, the navigation setting has always Breadcrumb selected whereas in the past this was the last option chosen for that sport mode (in my case it’s usually Off for running)

Meh I was hoping it’ll be fixed.
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos, previously if you’ve set your workout profile to not have any navigation features (i.e. turning off the breadcrumb trail), the watch would remember this. Last update broke it that it always resets to breadcrumbs.

I ll report again

That bothered me (and sometimes a bit still) in Vertical watchface.

Thank you Suunto for this, can’t wait to dig into the new firmware and go exploring.
Improvements in the battery in activities with GPS: Vertical Solar 90h?! It will last longer than I can!
Thank you again to the software team and testers!

Same here.
Anyway, the update was downloaded and installed smoothly.
