SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.35.34 Q2

SuuntoPlus feature bug report:
# First item in SuuntoPlus list does not render its state.
Steps to reproduce:
- While starting new activity go to SuuntoPlus and check first item in list (in my case “Burner”).
- Go back and see that item is successfully enabled.
- Go to SuuntoPlus list again and see that first item IS NOT selected.
- If you enable first item again in this state you are actually disabling it.
- If you scroll down and back up you see first item in correct state.
I would say its just kind of list refresh issue
# SuuntoPlus GUIDE not remembered
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to SuuntoPlus list and enable your GUIDE
- Start and finish your activity
- Next time you start same activity your setting is not remembered and you have to enable GUIDE again
May be this is expected behaviour but I personally would expect it to be remembered as everything else in this list. Otherwise I have to go all the way down to enable it on every (custom) activity start.
ANYWAY GOOD JOB WITH UPDATE GUYS!
BTW: Is this the right place to report bugs? Or you have something more “ticket oriented”?

@suntd This is really annoying. Just after the update the watch showed not my selected watchface. After changeing it to the watchface I usually use - the one with sunrise / sunset and dawn times in the ring I found I can’t circle through the stats anymore.
You still can open the “widget” selected by “complications” when touching and holding it - e.g. sunset.
But it is a huge drawback. Before I could switch between steps, calories, moon phase, time zone, date, altitude, batterie.
No nothing circles.
I don’t need the long touch function - it just sucks and I don’t need the complications function - it just makes it complicated @isazi and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos could you please communicate that! -
@Pavlas
You can now see battery % by holding the lower button to enter the “control panel” (in the 9PP at least). Which, in my view, is better than needing to pause the watch.
But I assume - haven’t checked - that you still can’t add battery as a data field. I ask for this in every survey. -
@steoreggia yeah it is really annoying! Don’t know why they f**ked it up so much.
-
@MKPotts You’re right. I forgot about that option. Thank you
-
@Milan-Slezák 1) is known and reported already, 2) may be by design, as apps are remembered but guides should be not as I remember.
-
@steoreggia you can create your favorite watchface with complications, juyst go to “Customize” in the control panel and work from there.
-
First, I LOVE Suunto!
Second: Is it a way to remove the blue ring? If not, why? Empty field should mean empty, right?
Third: Is this a bug (see picture two) Seconds is gone (after a while).

@Stoke80, on 9PP, if you long press the bottom button, the watch will show up some option and there you can find the locking option.
If you have already defined the action related to the bottom button long pressing, you can change that by means of the control panel, inside the personalization command.

@Łukasz-Szmigiel I’ll be sure to report it to Suunto tomorrow, if it’s not already known.
Could you share your understanding of the intended function of the top button when in the navigation screens in the 9PP?
Short press pauses the watch (as it always has done in all 9-series watches and, from an earlier comment, the Race too) and long press enters map zoom?
Or short press enters map zoom, long press enters multisport and the removal of the ability to pause is deliberate rather than a bug, so won’t be coming back?I’ve also found that when in a SuuntoPlus screen - in my case “last km” - you can pause and restart the recording but you can’t end it, the bottom button shows the red end symbol next to it but does nothing. You have to cycle to another screen to end. I don’t know if this is true with all apps or just this one, I haven’t tested.

@isazi Yes, but it is not possible to choose everything in every whatchface. For instance, I can’t choose sunrise/sunset in the field where date showing is now in the picture.
Kind regards,
Jonas -
@JonasLarsson for space constraints, not all watchfaces allow all shapes

Kind regards,
Jonasindeed that particular watchface is somehow not as widget rich and is a bit odd .
Also there seems to be just 1 white background variant in all watchfaces while there used to be 3-4 in the past with red and blue options for text. That’s somehow strange -
@JonasLarsson Sorry, wrong picture…
-
@JonasLarsson
this always happens when screen goes in “sleep” mode -
@JonasLarsson did you configure this watchface to show sunrise/sunset?
-
@isazi I used the exact same watch face with the sunrise/sunset icon.
In this case, all this seriously called watchfaces modification comes down to even greater restrictions -
@isazi I can’t choose sunrise/sunset in that watch mode.

@isazi Thanks.
Regarding “Remembering Suunto+ GUIDE”. Even if it is “by design” am I the only one having issue with this?
My scenario is:
- Create custom Sport Mode
- Create my GUIDE for it
- Associate my Sport Mode with my GUIDE first time
- Be able to start custom Sport Mode including GUIDE easily and not have to do lot of actions again and again.
May be I’m not getting something and there some way to easily achieve this?
May be this is not the right place to discuss this. If so, can you please point me to the right one?
Thank you.
