      Hi guys, I went on a 5-hour ride today and let the Suunto recording the whole time, showing the map, with solar and everything. It worked great until about 4 hours in, I couldn’t leave the map screen anymore, it’s like the other screens simply didn’t exist anymore. So a press to move to the next page did nothing. I could still access all the map options, but nothing more. So I couldn’t save the activity cleanly and had to force restart the watch. The ride was saved but missed some info, e.g. calories.
      Unlucky one-off, or did the watch simply run out of memory?
      I’m sure others here have recorded longer activities, but perhaps not constantly using the map.

        @mickywickyftw

        Same thing happened to me in April after around 1hr 20 of a walk. Lost sections of the map at different zoom levels, too, but the initial section of the track (hitherto consigned to oblivion) reappeared. Weird.

        Soft reset saved the activity and restored button functionality.

              Indeed, exactly that, with sections of the map but being displayed. Had a soft reset of course, but let’s see about tomorrow

                @isazi yeah, tomorrow should be 8 hours riding, so if it happens again I’ll look for logs I can share.

                  @mickywickyftw thanks, I already reported what happened to @Fenr1r I believe

                  Edit: No, actually I did not report it because we’re waiting for the new firmware to be released. If this happens with the new firmware, logs and write on the forum. Or send me a PM.

                    @isazi another data point: today’s ride was 7 hours, I was on the map for maybe 4 of those hours. No problem there. Either because of the recent soft reset, or because I wasn’t always on the map screen. shrug
                    I’ll be doing this for the next several days, let’s see…
