How to turn off 9?
-
Easy answer … you can’t turn it off
-
@Adam-Parker I don’t think that’s possible (but am not an expert!).
The watch goes to sleep mode when it doesn’t detect any movements, but as far as I’m aware that’s the closer you can get to turning it off.
You can play with the different options to save battery (like disabling 24h HR tracking, reducing brightness…?) -
@sartoric That’s crazy! I have to leave it in the lounge at night as the HR lights come on really bright and wake me up.

Disable 24h monitoring

@Adam-Parker the hr lights will come up if the watch is moved or tracking sleep. Its to be expected.

There’s a bug there then. I have sleep tracking turned off and it will still light up on my dresser in the middle of the night.

@stromdiddily do you have both 24h HR tracking and sleep tracking turned off? This works for me.

I do now.
My reply was addressing the claim that it should only come on if there is movement or if you’ve enabled sleep tracking. Based on overnight battery consumption, even when not worn, and the fact I’ve seen the light come on leads me to believe there is something wrong with the daily monitoring feature.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos unfortunately my bar HR do not engage if you move my watch after leaving it on the desk it just cycles each 10-15min no matter of the movement, this only works on s9?

Hello,
You need to deactivate 24h/24 HR if you want the green lights stop, it works for me for weeks.
-
Just use Power saving from the menu
-
@Václav-Král power saving if not turned off can interrupt workouts
-
@stromdiddily sometimes even small movement such as a vibration can wake it up. For me its my gfs steps.
When it wakes up it will most probably start tobflash to get the hr.Another advice is to put it on a non vibrating furniture eg a big desk.
-
@SlaSh If you forget to turn off power save mode it doesn’t record gps track! This should be fixed! It has not fixed also with latest 2.1.64 fw!
-
@renton82 correct.
-
@renton82 I know thats why I have commented that this can interrupt workout, dont need to remind me, thanks ;0

A option to turn off my Suunto 9 would be a nice addition.
