Fix the step count
-
The counted steps on all current watches seem to be ridiculously high so are the active calories.
Today in my home office it tells me I have been walking 3287 Steps.
The last three steps have been recorded from some moves from moving the mouse.
This does not happen always but maybe at specific moves made.
I just let my arm hang down loos once and returned it up to the keyboard again and the number Jumped to 3294.
One again 3303. Just by hanging my arm down and taking it up again.
The watch is a Suunto PP9.So maybe you could fix the algorithm by only counting steps when there are 10 in e.g. 15 Sec?
Or only count when the accelerometer ist showing a move for a specific amount of time.
Or give us an option to change the sensitivity?
Maybe some genius could even find a way to sort out activities like brushing tooth, cooking … -

Only the suunto 3 can count steps accurately, all other watches from suunto are not able to do this and track two to three times the actual steps. It’s just sad and can’t be mentioned often enough.
