I have a Suunto 9 Baro (2018) that I bought a year ago but never opened it.

The watch only works when I have the charger attached to it. I have it updated to the latest software and have tried soft reset/hard resetting but the same thing happens. Once I disconnect the charger, then the light dims after 2 seconds then it stops working/goes to sleep/turns off. The buttons do not do anything.

Is this a faulty battery issue or software issue?

Literally have like 0 charges, and the watch is complete brand new

bought from official store ? if yes it would be under warranty.
if not, opened or not opened, it would be considered as a 2018 watch, thus too old for warranty.

if purchased “officially” and “recently” with proof of purchase, you may claim, if not 🤔
