Live-Segments on Suunto Spartan
-
I don’t know if this is the right place to post it, but the title is clear: we want live segments on our watches.
Polar and Garmin already have LS, why Suunto hasn’t implemented it yet in any model? -
I have been asking fort as well. Not sure this is something Suunto is willing to implement…
-
To clarify:
Most companies are moving away from live segments on Strava as Strava made this super expensive for other companies to use.
Check DC rainmakers posts about this.
-
To bad, I really like it…
-
@johan6504 no hard feelings, but I have to admit … I do not at all, and maybe there are even some more, but however it can and will be solved, I can (and will) live with it
-
Sorry guys, nice to have but not critical for me while having a lot of basic features missing (specially if its very expensive as Dimitrios explained)
-
I have fewer injuries and less angst when not presented with Live Segments. That stupid little thing of racing past tense me makes me all fighty! “I will beat you, past tense me!” And there’s past-tense me, racing away, not breaking a sweat, just a smug little icon…

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Well, I see your post saying that the implementation of live segments is very expansive. From my point of view, even being expansive it should be taken into consideration.
Therefore, I see that Suunto already has the HEATMAPS implemented, what about use its own platform to make your own segments , what about allow all suunto users to give names to the segments using the heatmaps?
Is it possible to submit this idea under viability studying?
So, in this way we would have the segments. Thanks in advance,

Hi.
Strava changed its premium subscription ant now is more accesible the live segments feature to its owners.
Others companies understood that point and mantain the live segments on their gps watches.
Has suunto changed its mind? Or thinked about create its own version via HEATMAPS?
