Hello to all!
I do the following sports:
Hiking & Scrambling - Mountains are my passion!
Trail running
Flat running
Weight LiftingI recently bought the Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist HR Baro.
My main purpose here is to try and help contribute to the overall improvement of the Suunto experience, and help anyone out where I can. I have a lot of experience with Garmin tech, so hopefully I can cross over to Suunto tech fairly easily.I’m injured at the moment, so I’m doing very few outdoor activities, unfortunately! Hopefully the Physiotherapists can work their magic quickly.

I seem to be using this forum backwards… I’ve been on it since January, or maybe December, oops!
From the UK, 35, living in the SF Bay Area, so I have no excuse for not getting outside and riding my bike. I’m transitioning to running, with an eye on trail running, and as is compulsory for living here I do a lot of yoga as well.
I have a Spartan WHRBaro, and an Ultra I got on eBay, for a reason I haven’t been able to explain to myself (or anyone else), and I quite like exercise sensors, the more esoteric the better (currently enjoying the Oakley RADAR Pace).
In keeping with being backwards, my username in the Suunto App seems to be
Ze Stuart

Welcome to the forum @ze-stuart ( again )

Hi all,
New to these forums and also the Suunto app. I’m going to start using the app with the Suunto 9 (pre-ordered yesterday). As for now I will get used to it with my Spartan Ultra.
You can find me as Christian Borgbo. I’m a runner from Denmark, but I also ride my bike and climb quite often. This summer I am going to visit the Alps a couple of times and I can’t wait to bring Suunto 9 with me to test it.
Cheers!

Wow, I’m in some great company, lots of racers, and people who are really way out of my league. I’m a 70 year old man, living in Utah, and am still trying to render out some of the lard that 40+ years of computer networking has placed around my middle. Couple that with bad knees from weighing over 300 pounds for what seemed like an eternity, and 35+ years of smoking cigarettes, I can only dream about accomplishing some of the stuff I see here.
That being said, I’m a total geek, and love data. Any data. I’ve purchased, sold, re-purchased, re-sold, just about every worthwhile device on the market, and have finally settled on the SSWHRBaro, as it fits my needs perfectly. Actually, the Apple watch “fits my needs”, but lacks the data. I do classes at the gym, a bit of Yoga, weights, and when the weather is right, some biking. Also enjoy park, mall, and trail walking outside when the weather is decent.
So, there you have it. But, I’m enjoying all of the activities, and people here, and as I tell myself every day… “I’m not there yet, but I’m ahead of where I was yesterday”… -

Dirty Hippie -
Trail runner former barefoot runner, Yoga-holic, Hiker, Tele-sking mountain lover.
Currently on an island in the North Atlantic - not so many mountains here, so alot more running (bah), hiking, and camping.
Hooked on SUU from my t6d - I was an avid cyclist and hill runner at the time, so fit the needs.
I think like more than a few on the forum, I train but more for me ( accountability and general fitness). I haven’t raced in years.

@slash right, you’ll never see all the sharp ground until you do. There are a couple of local trails urban trails that I think folks are adding glass to prevent traffic so shoes it is.
