S+ Climb

Sorry for the question, but what is the purpose of the notification feature (I,ve just realized it is there)? Thanks

@robis It enables notification (sound and/or vibration) in watch when a new hill is detected and a lap is created. It should be explained in SuuntoPlus store description, we’ll add it there.

Today I tested S+ Climb. Good integration of data on uphills and downhills, m/h is the perfect unit, incline and decline could change a little bit faster using it on a bike, but it’s okay.
The notification (tone or vibration) is useless on a bike, when the watch is mounted to the handle bar. And I feel in my legs and I see with my eyes that a hill is in front of me. So the notificaton is useful only for a stoker on a tandem bike …
I will use it again but without the notification enabled.

Feature suggestion for this one, obviously when you’re ascending it shows the climb you’re currently on, and the gradient, but for a downhill lap, it only shows the gradient, not the total downhill in that lap. I’d suggest if the downhill is being summed as a drop of more than 10m by the watch, a little UI change to show -xx m would be useful, rather than the tiny amount of uphill in potentially a huge downhill lap.

More thoughts when out today:
When you’ve finished an activity you can see the little segments and obviously if have a dedicated laps page you can see the laps - which leads me to wonder why we can’t have a pop up at the end of a climb “lap” telling us about the “lap”.
It could be enabled or disabled like notifications for climb start are currently, but a little 5s screen with length, gradient, NGP/VAM and maybe HR would be nice. Just as if you manually click the lap button you get a summary of that lap.
