Cannot connect with the App
-
I have a SV for less than 2 months. It’s now the 3rd time that it loses the connection with the App (iOS). Same WiFi. I already tried the Force Quit the app several times.
At same time, App still able to connect to my S9B so, no problem with the App or the iPhone.Any idea, other than the Soft Reset?
Many thanks. This is after I moved to the S9B and tried to sync back with the SV.

@jjorgemoura Was the watch synced to another device? Check in Settings/Connectivity on the watch and see if a mobile device is shown. If so you need to forget that on the watch. Forget the watch in the BT stack on the iPhone as well. Then try to re-pair.
Sometimes my app cannot find the watch, it is in the iPhone BT stack but not connected. Tap the watch in the BT stack and make sure it connects. If not follow instructions above. You should not have to restart the watch. -

No, SV has been connected with only one iPhone. -

Yes, it’s there -

Ok, it is working now. -

Will keep a close eye on this.
Like I mentioned, I also have a S9B for around 2.5 years and I don’t remember having to re-pair it ever. There has been multiple occasions where I needed to Force Quit the app and sync again to start the sync or the sync process had frozen to a point that require a Force Quit. But never re-pair the watch with the app. -

@jjorgemoura Mine often will not pair to the app because BT connection is lost and I simply tap the watch in the BT stack. I have reported this as a bug to Suunto.

Yep, it happened again yesterday with my SV.
Not clear if the problem might be the app (running latest beta from TestFlight), iOS (latest iOS 17 version on a iPhone 11 Pro), the Bluetooth HW on phone side, the Bluetooth HW on watch side or the Watch firmware.
To fix it I needed to tap forget this device on iOS, kill App and start again. I didn’t need to touch the Watch at all (like forget the App pairing).
I’m still using my S9B on a few activities per week (mainly gym) and have never faced this issue.

@jjorgemoura Did you try my fix?
-
@Brad_Olwin First time yes. Yesterday, I fixed the problem without needing to “forget the app on the watch”. Forgetting the watch in the BT stack on the iPhone was enough.

@jjorgemoura Typically I just need to connect in the BT stack. If the watch will not connect toggle airplane mode off then on from the watch not the phone, that will reconnect. No need to forget anywhere or repair from scratch at least in my hands.
