      Good morning dear community, my question may be a bit specific. Is there a way to reset the personal HRV area? My question is because my nightly HRV values between my WHOOP device and the Suunto Vertical are identical BUT the HRV normal range is completely different. while Suunto thinks my HRV range is normal between 43-56, WHOOP says with the same HRV values my range is 53-76. That means WHOOP says that since I’ve been using the Vertical to measure HRV, I’ve hardly ever recovered. while with Suunto I always have 100% recovery. do you understand my question? Maybe there is a way to reset the HRV normal range in the Suunto app to start over with the 14-day measurement? thank you for your effort and your answers

        @GiPFELKiND I had the same question, as my initial 14 days of hrv calibration were during a period I was especially tired (and also because my pride was telling me that I could have expected “better” values considering my general shape, HR rest aroud 40…)
        My question was not exactly « resetting » the values, but « does hrv normal range gets « automatically updated » in time, when having more history values.
        But now that it’s been weeks I also realize that my hrv never exceed to much the range.
        So I guess that the hrv mesured by SV is quit consistent. And I remember having seen that hrv mesurement can be different from a device to another due to different methods ?
        Still, your initial question remains a good one, and I would also be interested for the answer !

          The 14 days are a rolling window, so it is completely reset after another 14 days as far as I know.

              @isazi
              Straight from the horses mouth:
              At Suunto, we define your normal range over a 60-day period and then compare your rolling seven-day average with that baseline. A minimum of 14 measurements needs to be gathered over the 60 days to define your normal range. For the seven-day average, a minimum of three measurements is needed. So, if you are new to measuring HRV with Suunto, you will have HRV data even after the first night, but the data will get more defined as more data is gathered.

                @Mads-Hintz-Madsen Indeed, that is what Suunto says. However, it is not clear what happens after the 60 days? i.e. is it a rolling 60 day average, like the 7-day is a rolling 7 day?

                I also started with my SV at a time whn I was suffering with a virus, and since I have been better I am often now above my normal range (as defined by Suunto), although it appears to be fairly consistently at this new level, plus or minus a few points pending on my training / rest.

                So still a good question!

                  @Swaddy61 I’m pretty sure it’s a rolling 60 days average similarly to the 42 days weighted rolling average for the CTL.
