Manual HR and TSS
-
Hi I have a ambit 3 peak and use the suunto app. Often I excercise and use my simply polar ft4 hr monitor just for hr data for example when doing indoor bike so I’m not using my ambit for this. When I add the activity manually in the suunto app and enter I’m my average HR and max HR for the excercise it tells me my TSS is calculated by TSS (met) which is just the standard way it calculates TSS if there is no other data like HR. I however am putting in my HR data in the app via manual activity and it won’t give me TSS(hr). This also happens when I use the ambit 3 peak for gps and use my polar for HR which I often do and then add HR manually to my activity on the app after the watch has synced it still says TSS (met) and not TSS (hr) like it should??? Can anyone help please.

@gone-troppo
I guess you should read these articleshttps://www.suunto.com/it-it/sports/News-Articles-container-page/training-with-tss-and-hrtss/
https://www.suunto.com/it-it/sports/News-Articles-container-page/training-stress-score-in-suunto-app/You’re just entering averages, and not full HR for the activity (zones etc.)

@sartoric is correct, TSS (hr) algorithm requires full HR time-series data (graph), not just average HR value.
@gone-troppo unfortunately, if you want TSS (hr) metric you need to have HR belt connected to your Ambit 3 peak.
