Full battery drain in around one hour
-
I searched and didn’t see anyone having this issue. I’ve not used my watch for several months as I have just been cycling but took it off the charger yesterday and the battery drained over the course of several hours. I restarted the watch and quit the app on my phone.
When I got home I charged it then installed the new firmware through Suuntolink. I assumed this might have been the issue but it does not appear to be the case. I put it on this morning and it drained even quicker. After recharging, I disconnected from the app and forgot the connection in the iOS bluetooth settings and then reconnected. However, I’m already down to 81% after only around 30 min off the charger.
Any ideas?

@fazel maybe soft-/hardreset?

I’ve had a few S9B’s with battery drain issues, I just returned them to Suunto here in New Zealand. In each case they came back to me and said that yes, there’s an issue but no it is not fixable. I have got a replacement each of these times
My training partner also went through 3 S9B’s with battery issues, so I’m inclined to almost think that there may be a batch out there that all suffer from the same integral problem(s). I got lucky I think with my third S9B which I have had for around 18 months now
So in short I’d see if you can take it into or send it away to your closest Suunto dealer. Keep us posted

@fazel I have a similar problem. After the latest firmware update (2.18.20) the battery drains 2% per hour. Already tried soft and hard reset without success

@daniele-gusmini Same to me. Battery has become noticeably much worse! Seems like a software issue, any feedbacks from Suunto? How to proceed?
