S9B Elevation gain not working properly
-
As per subject, since few weeks whenever i run the elevation gain is zero.
I know well that this is not realistic cause i am running the same route and i know how much the gain should be.
Is this maybe an issue linked to the baro ?? Anyway i can reset this ?
Thanks to all

You can try a soft reset,
if this does not help, a hard reset (all data gets deleted).But I don’t know if this helps, those are just the reset options
-
@argo320 show us the altitude chart please
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos please check 2 charts from almost identical route
-
@argo320 maybe it’s time to clean the baro hole with lukewarm water and a baby toothbrush. Or just leave it a hour or two in lukewarm water and rinse it afterwards.
-
@argo320 about the second chart it looks ok for no ascent
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos the second chart should represent the same identical vertical ascent profile like the first above, same route, same hills… just few hundred metres less at the end… that’s the problem.
Looks like the baro is stuck, will try to clean it properly as suggested above and also a soft reset.Will come back with outcome later.

@argo320 on the second chart you climbed 5m after many kilometers and those are not counted.
For ascent to count you need to climb 3m at least in 5mins or so. Then it does not count.

the issue of @Argo320 is that the chart seems not OK, so the point is not to check if ascent is calculated properly , but altitude values seems not OK : second graph should look like the first one (more altitude).

@mff73 exactly this !!
BTW i have just done a soft reset and now the baro shows the correct barometric pressure (before it was stuck at 970 hPa).
Will go for same run/route and check it out.
Thanks to all

Hi All, just tested on a route i know well, and elevation looks good and accurate again, likely before for some reason the baro was stuck at 970hPa, and the soft reset did the trick.
Thanks to all for support,

Bit of a random question but do some of you have your watch ascent also increase in increments of 4m? Mine ascent mostly goes up in 3m chunks but every now and then I get a 4m increase. Just curious, thanks

@miniforklift yes. Anything above 3m
