@djordje-s what was your speed if you don’t mind me asking? And also what did the excessive speed impact?

@djordje-s little clarification 🙂 When I contacted Suunto support, they’ve asked me to share with them few exercises from Suunto app and after that advise was to change it to running mode.

@suzzlo I believe that there are some people who are not in the mood to run that day but again to have some speed walk in order to practice/relax 🙂

@djordje-s I would still use the walking sportsmode and create a new one calling it „speed walking“ etc. I often do Nordic Walking were my pace is between 10-12 min/km uphill, about 8-9 min/km on flat ground and when it goes downhill again I usually „run“ with both poles in one hand at around 6-7 min/km - have no problems with „walking too fast“ ? Too fast for what ?

                        Currently Race I

@chrisa maybe GPS smoothing algos are not tweaked for these kind of speeds? I would be interested in what is impacted too.

@chrisa well,it seems that walking mode is made for 4-6km/h and everything above that is under running :). Again, for running you have to have some higher speed so it seems that area between 6-9/10 should be covered by some speed walking mode 🙂

@djordje-s like @suzzlo pointed out,it is afterall Olympic sport so it should be asked 🙂

@djordje-s true, but not all Olympic sports are present on the watch anyway, aren’t they?

@dmytro I coupd not agreed more :))))) Just per my opionion ,speed walking is something which is more represented during exercise.
