Unable to sync with movescount on my laptop

@brad_olwin Yes, most friends of mine have Garmin models. Two or three have reliable Ambit Peak. There are very few with Spartan models. For our market just one model is affordable enough for large market implementation, SST. Will be very difficult for people here buy S9. Unfortunately not everyone has the same incoming.

@brad_olwin it most be hard to point people towards S9 when Suunto is selling Spartan with 45% discount.

Most of the friends I run with will want the battery features…

They are dependent on the new GPS chip.

I am 90% sure they will. Not the fused track though

it can be a possibility it can be or it will happen like with trainer. 1-2 months after if not mistaken.

I would certainly hope that we wouldn’t have to go with the bugs introduced in the last release for another 2 or 3 months…

@marius-jacobsen-eggerud @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I can tweak settings on the SSU to eek out the best battery life but the S9 is much better and part of that is hardware! I can probably run a 100 mile race with the S9 on best GPS fix using an HR strap. This would allow me to have navigation running. I cannot do that on the Ultra, I have to use Good fix and cannot use Nav or have to turn it on and off. Incremental for some folks but for me it is great as in the summer I have multiday trips planned as well. The Fusedtrack appeals to me for the latter as well so I will purchase it. If the OHR gets better, which it might but my experience was not great, I would use it for my weekday runs.

@brad_olwin for running spartan line ohrm works just fine, some inaccuracies can appear on trail running cause of surface changes and bouncing to the ground, but for running I haven’t experienced any issues with ohrm.

@brad_olwin I see your point and S9 appeal to me as well. Just have to wait for a discount (from Suunto?) or I will have to wait until the watch is in stock at my local running store, where I have a fixed discount.
