Suunto 9 Peak (review and specs)
-
@egika in English, in Greek that’s just an “m” (I assume, I only studied ancient and not modern Greek)
-
@isazi i know. just joking
-
Man I can’t wait to see the s9P for real. Looks pretty good and the screen… I love it.
-
@bulkan Normally before you know it it’s Christmas again, but when you wait for a new watch time seems to slow to a crawl
-
@bulkan me too
-
-10meters (my house altitude in NL)
1 meter = 1 μέτρο.
Μετρό = meter and I think that’s the root of word (probably coming from ancient Greek)
Fun fact.
Taxi = taximeter = ταχύμετρο = to meter the speed

@brad_olwin please push me in the right direction. I’m especially looking for open water swim tracks as that is where my SSU is fooling me.
Dcrainmaker posted today on Instagram that he is testing the s9p vs 945 let on open water swim, may worth to check if you are interested
-
@andré-faria Ray’s in-depth review of the Peak is not out yet though.
-
@andré-faria yes, I’m aware that he’s comparing them. That’s a nice starter. The 5k runner also did a brief swim test in his review with good results. I’m looking forward to the indepth from Ray.

From which comes a Russian derivation тахометр… Meaning exact same thing and sporting some letters surely familiar to your Greek side. Curious how languages evolve.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos casi todas las cosas vienen de vosotros (los Griegos)!!!
-
@suzzlo Upppssssss writen in Spanish. Sorry
“almost all things come from you (the Greeks)!!!”
-
Is it planned to have the possibility to do a HRV test with the watch?
-
@frederick-rochette do you mean something like Polar’s orthostatic test?
I cannot remember to see in the forum as a Feature Suggestion, but seems to be a good idea. Can you elaborate a bit more?BR
-
Since my Spartan can do it, I think this is an error, but just to be sure. Can S9P record HR in swimming (pool/open) using wrist sensor?
-
@suzzlo My S9B can do it too.
-
@suzzlo yes it can, I have seen results of OHR in OWS.
-
@suzzlo Yes, it can, misleading info on the site
-
So people cannot complain if the watch is loose and it’s not working properly
-
@suzzlo the goal would be to be able to run an easy-my-HRV test with the watch every morning and that it be compiled in a graph on the SA (ideal) application or/and in a type HRV4Training or other app via a partnership.
the idea is to have a better idea of our physical form, avoid overtraining and adapt our training sessions.
