@Brad_Olwin thanks, i thought a S+ had to be defined at the begining of an exercice and couldn’t be stopped
It does for now but a lot of requests to make this start and stop within an exercise, we can hope that this will be implemented but no guarantees.

@brad_olwin Voted +1000
Even more than a lock button.I would love to be able to switch Suunto+ screens on and off during an activity.

100% with you and often discussed so I hope this will happen.

@brad_olwin And on top of that, remember the last selected Suunto+ screen. Or even better, make it configurable per sport mode.
-
Can’t wait for new analog watch face update 🤭 Replace some old WF with new ones…

Are S9/S9B/S9P ever likely to get full topographical maps (like the S7), ability to play music, ability to make payments?
-
@jamie-bg not with their current SW/HW.
-
@brad_olwin Sorry to hear that. I hoped mutiple s+ activation. However, I’m getting more and more indifferent of supplementary functions. My curiosity will make me disappointed but in practice, that doesn’t matter.
It would be better if I could select NGP in custom screen
-
@soojong-moon I will be fine with the possibility to change S+ during exercise. I found it very cumbersome to have many screens and having go to through all of them to get to the required info. My only complain in that case would be the Safe feature. It should be possible to have it activated since the beginning for some users, as it provides distance, bearing and altitude inference since start.

What about SportMode with S+ pinned?
Ie Hiking + weather
Running (intervals) + sprint -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos What if I want something else then the pinned one?
For example: running + weather instead of running + sprint
Or do you mean I can set my own pin preference?
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos i guess configured in custom sport modes in app
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos sounds very good, like a default S+ that you might change if you need something else.
-
I still prefer to enable the S+ when necessary before the activity. Some S+ apps are too impactful (i.e. they generate laps and do things) to have them always there when I do not need them, and I do not want to create a custom mode for every activity, I like the default modes and use them 95% of the time.
So, I want everything to remain as it is, except being able to change S+ during the activity
-
How about the following thoughts:
You have one „screen“ to configure x different S+ options, e.g.: climb laps, NGP data field and lat/long of rescue fieldWith this Suunto can limit the needed software resources but gives users the flexibility to use different options of the S+ possibilities.
-
@_marcus_ sorry I don’t understand your idea. Even if you would combine different S+ apps in a single screen, if they are all working they are still consuming resources. And some are even conflicting, creating laps for different reasons.
-
@isazi
I try it with the following exampleChoose a metric for each data field out of the S+ options:
Data field 1: NGP
Data field 2: Weather e.g. hPa with arrow up/flat/down
Data field 3: LAT/LONGLap counting mechanism: choose one
Climb - Sprint - LoopKnow what I mean?
-
@_marcus_ I understand now.
-
@isazi
I don’t know if there are many real life scenarios. For trailrunning I could imagine that example. -
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos i suggested this earlier - remember the last used setting (e.g., the S+, Target, Wrist HR, Battery mode).
I know that you may want to change it occasionally, but even if you reuse once, you already saved yourself some clicks.Or, in the defined sport mode, have an option to select all options (I think what @GNZ-ct suggested, but a bit expanded).
btw. it would help if you could scroll around the options (in a loop). If you preferred option in S+ is Weather, you have to scroll through almost all other options (you are lucky, if you always select Climb).
