Unable to sync with movescount on my laptop

Is anyone else have the same problem. I’m unable to upload my data to my movescount on my laptop. I have tried all the troubleshooting on suunto link and still no luck.

If you have routes on the SA and in MC on the watch, the watch will stop syncing to MC. You must remove all routes from the SA app and sync to the watch to remove all SA app routes. Then you have to force a firmware update on the watch. You will then be able to sync to MC again but you cannot use routes on SA if you want to sync to MC…a pity.

@slash I was until only the other day I was using the app on my phone and the. Syncing with my account using my laptop so it would up load my work outs to TrainingPeaks

@brad_olwin why has it only just started happen this hole time I have been able to update both ?

@savage9878 because new SA app do not not tolerate routes created on it and breaks sync with MC app and cable. One word BUG.

A combination of new SA app and 2.0 firmware in the Spartan…PIA to fix, I ended up having to reinstall firmware twice but all is working as before…just no routes from SA app.

Suuntolink just updated itself to version 2.22.0 on my computer today. Maybe the new version fixes this?

Suuntolink does not sync if the App has marked the watch to unsafe for Movescount, the new Suuntolink doesn’t act any different. If the app has marked the watch, there is no sync to MC anymore. Resetting the watch should resolve it. If not, the full restore will, but you lose the activities. In the app it should be so that until you add routes to watch (or later custom sport modes) the watch is fine to sync on both. If not then we have bug in the app. This has been talked a lot now internally, we need to figure out if we can do it any differently since it is very clear we will have another big issue driving users away from our systems. This is my opinion, not official comment. I’ll try to make this very visible, even it has already been communicated quite loudly. Last time was yesterday for the app program.

@jouko-from-suunto Thanks for the reply…you might here strong words from us and comments that are critical but…we are fans. We all signed up for the beta and we (I hope I can speak for most) believe Suunto makes great products and we want Suunto to grow. I am helping…ordered my S9:)

@jouko-from-suunto Thanks, I have convinced several of my friends to by Suunto devices. My coaching group is almost all Garmin and some are talking about replacing units. Glad the S9 is announced, I will point out the advantages:)

@brad_olwin Yes, most friends of mine have Garmin models. Two or three have reliable Ambit Peak. There are very few with Spartan models. For our market just one model is affordable enough for large market implementation, SST. Will be very difficult for people here buy S9. Unfortunately not everyone has the same incoming.

@brad_olwin it most be hard to point people towards S9 when Suunto is selling Spartan with 45% discount.
