Which is your favourite S9 strap?

I bought the new micro fiber strap along with my S9B, and I like it. I use the standard silicone for activities, and the micro fiber when I want it to look a bit nicer. It’s very soft and comfortable.

Here’s my new strap. It’s silicone rubber so perfect for training, but the blue stitching and gold buckle definitely lend an elegant look to it

@ad1411 This is the basic Hook Strap Classic; black with red stitches and brushed silver hardware.

@brunoh what’s the size of the pin? 24mm?

@ad1411 yes, S9B uses 24mm pins, but the just any 24mm pins won’t fit. Nick Mankey shipped this strap with “standard” pins and they are way too flimsy; Suunto uses thicker ones. I bought a used silicon strap (genuine Suunto) and harvested the pins for this.

I wish they’d release a nylon strip like the one that comes on the Ambassador Edition w/ the red Suunto triangle…I could take or leave the Suunto text around the bottom. But I really like that strap and logo displayed, just can’t buy it on it’s own.

If anybody has an Ambassador strap, doesn’t use it, and wants to swap for the plain nylon strap on the new Titanium Charcoal, I’d be happy to do a swap w/ anyone!

@halajos just search on aliexpress, there is a lot. Delivery about 3 weeks.

I have it since 3 weeks, ran a lot, no problem. Maybe the same thing with the suunto one, after the shower it stay wet about 1/2 hour.

Are the spring bars shorter and spring bar heads thinner than original ones?

@prenj Usually they are thinner and shorter.

A pro tip: check eBay or some similar market place and look for genuine Suunto silicone straps. Buy a pair, cut them with a sharp knife and take the pins. That’s what I did; I seem to get a nasty rash from silicone straps anyway…
