Software Updates have worsen suunto 9
-
Well… Maybe you should check the average, the instant one show what it’s supposed to show, imho
-
@sartoric That is not what I asked jajaja. First, I must suppose you have not this problem, so you aren’t really helping me right now. Second, If I use average, I don’t know which is my instant value, so, I must wait at least 1 km to see my average or even finish the runnning, which sincerely it is stupid to wait at the end to see your rate. If I use a Suunto or any other brand it is because they are supposed to be precised on calculating the instant value rate which is what I really need to know if I should push a little more or just relax on some km.
-
@Marco-Stranieri same route you ran before the update? Road? Trail? Good GPS conditions? It happened more than once?
-
The problem is that it goes crazy. it shows 4:30min / km, and then it drops to 4:05 / km, then to 4:40/km then 4:20/km etc. The average at the end it is solved thanks to suunto app, but during your running it is difficult to know your real and instant rate. So you don’t know if you are doing it at a good rate or a bad one

This post is deleted! -
@isazi Yes, it is on same routes before update, on an avenue next to the beach with good GPS signal. Previously to the update there was no problem at all. But after updating it (it is the 5th time I go after update) it continue to happens

@Marco-Stranieri have you tried a soft reset?
I didn’t take attention to the instant pace, I will.I have instead an issue to the instant wrist HR, which time to time disappears for some secs (with double - -) it seems “missing” the read. I would expect that watch keeps the previous value if a read is missed. Unfortunately I have the SB9 since a few time thus I don’t know if it’s something relate to the last FW. With a soft reset it seems mitigated the problem, but still there.
-
@pacos No, I did not try it yet.
I will do it!!
Thank you -
@Marco-Stranieri I use Stryd for pace while running, but haven’t noticed anything while walking. Do you see the spikes also in the graph on the app, or any third party service you use?
-
@isazi Yes, in the graph on the app there is also the spikes, it seems to a earthquaker sensor jajaja. The final average is good, but the instant pace it is difficult to know. However I will try a soft Reset as “Pacos” said.

@isazi Thanks

Try a reboot with 12second upper button then sync agaps with the app.
Wait 15+ minutes before testing and go to the watch - settings - general - about and make sure the agps is up to date.
Use gps only as the navigation system on your next test.
This should solve any issues if bad instant pace

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Okay, Thank you!!
