BLE sensors, paired but don't connect
-
Having issues with my S9 Baro and pairing sensors.
I have a Stryd Wind (foot pod) and a Firsbeat/Movesense HR sensor working fine. I also can get cycling speed and cadence from my bike. But unable to get power from the bike power pod.
It pairs fine, but it doesn’t connect when I start an activity. The speed and cadence once pairs fine.
There seems to be no way to list the actual device that is paired in the paired sensor list, which I find really annoying to troubleshoot pairing issues.
Is there a way to check the BLE ID and name of paired sensors?
And when starting an activity, is there a way to check the status of the sensor that is trying to be paired?More info:
I can pair those bike sensors to at least 3 other BLE apps (Zwift, Sufferfest, Roovy), I can read all the data with the nRF Nordic BLE application. So I don’t understand why the S9 Baro doesn’t connect to the bike power pod.Any help would be appreciated.

Same here, I have paired Stryd Wind as a footpod and Powertap P1 as powerpod. It does not work if Stryd is anywhere close to PowerTap, what I do as a workaround is put Stryd away in a heavy gauge metal box before trying to connect to my Powertap. Also, if you fiddle with the options too much before starting an excercise, sometimes it does not want to connect to power pods, just keeps gray. Make sure your phone is not connected to the bike power meter also, turn off BT on phone. After everything is connected, you may turn back BT on phone,
I use Wahoo Cadence speed sensor, Suunto HR belt, Powertap P1 with latest fw S9B, all fine. On top of that i use one airpodpro in one ear to listen to music after all pods are connected.

Hello,
I like to bring this topic up again, as I struggle also to get power from my TACX Neo to the S9B. I have no other power device around, so what it seems to find MIGHT be the TAC Neo, but as it does not show a name, it’s not for sure. Are there any hints on this. Speed & Cadence from the “Bike Sensor” work fine but for the power sensor it does not connect at the beginning of the workout (Indoor Cycling)
Thx! -
@johann-fuehrer I don’t have a trainer or power meter to test. But in the exercise options, if you scroll down to sensors, do you see anything?

@isazi In the exercise prestart mode it tries to connect to all my sensors, BT for power pod stays gray, even if I have added the sensor just a few seconds before.
In the options I see that I should have three sensors (HR-belt - used wrist HR, bike POD and power POD). All three sensors (and only them) are enabled. When I try to calibrate the power pod, it tells me to check the battery, to activate it and to go nearer to the pod (10 cm should be near enough, isn’t it?). I also did some pedaling for that it would be needed, but this did not help. (And for using Zwift with the PC it is NOT necessary, as long the TACX is on the power line - btw: ZWIFT was and is NOT started for all this!). Have also tried to disable the other sensors (HR-belt, bike-pod) which also did not make any difference.
Really no idea anymore and syncing the workout from ZWIFT into Suunto App is a PITA as there is no direct import possible and I do not like to have another software to get my workout info centralized!! Even wors as I cannot do it in Suunto App, as this does not really scale on the iPAD and on my 4" iPhone SE you need tiny little fingers and hawk eye to operate it. Charts are useless there… but that’s another topic which belongs not to here… -
@johann-fuehrer … btw: Ambit 3 fails with the same, Ambit 2 (with ANT+) has Power, cadence, HR, speed but no DISTANCE updated. So also not 100% what I need.
