SuuntoPlus updates in the future?

I’m wondering how tight or loose the coupling between S+ and base FW updates. I see S+ as the successor of the old ambit apps platform, but while we were able to create new apps without FW update, S+ features came with new watch FW. Which raises the question, whether S9 can still get new S+ features once base FW updates are stopped (due to a successor model coming out). Anyone has any insights?

@halajos It is unlikely you will get an answer.
- We do not know when the next firmware is coming.
- Suunto is unlikely to tell you when they plan to stop supporting the current S series generation.
