https://www.suunto.com/de-at/Support/Software-Updates/Versionshinweise/suunto-9-software-updates/Thanks, and happy for you all, guys.
Be prepare to have many Spartan users complaints No WP names for us, no compass in activity mode, no bearing lock, no…thing -
@markytarky @morskilav it’s first coffee, then business, even if I work from home
-
when does the Spartan update come…?
-
But the biggest question will there be a new watch anytime soon please let is now anything
-
@Stefan-Kersting I can’t even remember when the last Spartan update was. It’s looking as though these watches are pretty much dead, isn’t it?
-
I’m installing now. It didn’t show up as available until I reinstalled Suuntolink, which was out-of-date on my computer.
-
So, this is great. But - you can only use one of the SuuntoPlus features for an activity, correct? This will become an issue now that there are so many more, at least for me. I’d like to run several of these screens at the same time.

Last update for Spartans was Jan 1st with the day of week bugfix.
The Spartans are not dead, Suunto watches are built to last -

See answer on this in the other thread.
In short: it was on the road map, just did not make it into this update due to excessive testing needs. -
@Egika Right, my wife still use my old Ambit 2S, and she is happy
-
@Egika That really was just the bugfix though, wasn’t it? Not an actual update offering improved or enlarged functionality.
-
@Egika Thank you - sorry I missed it. This makes sense. I’m prolly gonna try the climb feature here in a min and will report back.
-
@Egika thank you suunto for that we are allowed to live with the correct date

@isazi agree i do like the time to sunset, i am just waiting to see if a baro trend line appears (fingers crossed).
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in Software update 2.12.30 Staged Release for S3/S5/S9:
@t1sugar it will. It needs at least 3 hours. Also the timewindow (colored) moves
I see the devs moved on my feedback to the leaked pix. Very quickly. Possibly using a time machine to a point some weeks before I made my post. Nevertheless, where’s my money?
-
@Fenr1r I had told it …
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Of course! Exactly what you’d say if you’d recognised a couple of splendid ideas and were refueling your DeLorean.

Here’s the Strava link to my run using the new Climb SuuntoPlus screen. The implementation is nice.
https://www.strava.com/activities/4025522993/laps
Constructive criticism.
- Ideally laps would be marked retroactively. It appears there must be a change/delta of 10m either up or down before a lap is marked. It would be much better if the watch could mark the lap at the point where the elevation first started to rise or fall rather that after the 10 m delta.
- The lap summary screen shows lap heart rate and pace. I think it makes more sense to replace one of these with elevation / ascent like you get with the lap summaries for trail running.
Thanks!
