downloading Movescount data off of the cloud, offline
-
Is it possible to download all Movescount data into an offline file stored on my computer?
Are there local apps for analyzing such data, so one doesn’t have to trust the cloud and is assured the data is safe and accessible without cloud services being changed?

Movescount provides an export option under Settings. You can import resulting fit-files into any offline tool, like GoldenCheetah or QMapShack . Just keep in mind that once you click that button, next batch export is available only after 30 days.

Indeed, thanks! I somehow found that feature somewhere else online before I saw your response, and I tried it and it worked.
“once you click that button, next batch export is available only after 30 days.” - Oh my, I saw no such information on Movescount when I tried it. Thanks for the heads up, that would be frustrating if I were to try again and find it greyed out.

Yes there are some softwares.
Some I mentioned here
https://forum.suunto.com/topic/3438/suunto-cable-operated-software-alternatives?_=1591816608510Some years ago I bought sporttracks. Unfortunately, not available to buy.
But there are alternatives such as WKO5, Mytourbook, Turtlesport, etc -
Anyone know of the *.fit files downloaded from Movescount can be uploaded to Garmin Connect?
