Hi guys my polar h7 is broken. What would your recommend me to buy, original Suunto HR monitor or polar h10? Which is better which works better with S9B and which will work longer?

H10
You could just search H10 in our forum, you will get the answer.

@tomahawk5000 The new Suunto black belt will fix the issues of variability with the old belt. They can be ordered from Suunto when in stock. The Suunto smart sensor is the only HR belt that will cache HR and sync back to the watch. You can leave the watch in the locker and use the belt for gym or field sports where you may not want to use the watch. The smart sensor can cache between 2h and 3h of HR data.

@Brad_Olwin who guarantee me that they send new version of that belt? H10 has cache to am I right?
-
@tomahawk5000 H10 has cache as well. But this cache only works with Polar watches or Polar mobile app.

SuuntoSuport as confirmed me by mail, at least black model should be totally new design from Suunto.
Not personnaly checked, as they are out of stock since ages, but others have received new ones. -
@Brad_Olwin
and, very important, in during the swimming -
I highly command you the Polar OH1+, Optical HR, you can carry it on Arm or clip it on your swimming goggles,
And OH1+ can be used without any watch, it has a recording mode on itself.

Polar H10 is totally compatible with our Suuntos except for the offline sync and it works flawlessly I guess the polar H9 will be practically the same and a little bit cheaper.
In my case, the problem with the polar, and its belt is that gives me bruises, even nasty ones, for me the Suunto strap is more comfortable. Right now I do not use the Suunto one because I need to buy the strap + the sensor (i returned it when i bought the S9B) and I am waiting to be sure that I get the new version.

Thanks guys for your help. I will test decathlon’s HR monitor which is much cheper than H10 or Suunto’s one (if decathlon’s tool will brake fast then I will buy Suunto’s or Polar’s HR mnitor). I would say that I prefet H10 the moste but if offline sync doesn’t work then probably Suunto’s will be better. Not sure how much importat is it.

In my case, no swimming, the offline sync is not important at all. Another important thing for me is that the Polar can use BLE and ANT+ which is the system for my bike GPS, so with one sensor and belt I can use two devices.

what do you think about belts. Can I let say use belt from Suunto with Polar’s module? I bought belt for Polar H7 and I saw that there is infomration that it can be use with H10 too and it looks smillar to that one from Decathlon.
-
@tomahawk5000 no you cannot mix and match between Suunto and Polar.

Hey all, I don’t want to create new topic so I’ll write here if you don’t mind.
What if I have 2 different watches and two HR belts, if I pair one belt with one watch and second with second. Is there any option that first watch will read HR from second belt or it cannot happend? I just want to avoid situation that I’ll record HR’s partner
