Problem with altimeter s9b

What do you exactly mean? Your watch should tell you that you can close the menu and it’ll notify you when it has a new altitude.
-
@isazi It seems that the process never found the altitude!
-
@Giulio-Dall-Osto are you outside? It needs GPS, good GPS, for something like 5-10 minutes to work.
-
@isazi and if I don’t start the process of auto adjust, the process doesn’t work in background. Right?
-
@Giulio-Dall-Osto This is backgroud process.
-
@Giulio-Dall-Osto you have to start the process, then it’ll work in the background.
-
it is almost useless to do this, unless you have a very incorrect altitude as given on the watchface, and in this case I advise you to manually set the altitude, where known.
Doing it before an activity is not needed, it will take care of fusedAlti to recover the right altitude once the activity has started -
@Saketo-Nemo @isazi ok thanks. I don’t notice wrong altitude. But, when I started this process(auto adjuste altitude), It seems It never found the altitude.
-
at the cost of being repetitive: were you outdoors with good visibility of the sky?
-
@Saketo-Nemo yes! In any case the process seems don’t found the altitude
-
@Giulio-Dall-Osto
As it is a background process, you’ll never receive any confirmation message.
In fact what it does is to kick in fusedalti (afair) so it keeps “correcting” altitude for a while.Of course you need a good GPS signal
-
@sartoric on S9 you get a notification when it’s done.
-
@isazi
oohhh … what a magic !

I have done it after the reset (when s9b stopped responding) and on altitude of 250m it missed about +20 meters what was earlier showing (before restart). It was off more than 50 meters before auto adjust. I don’t know exact altitude in single meter so I let it auto adjust altitude.
It normalized few days later, after 2 walk activities.
